TANKSLEY is a singer-songwriter with a sound that is a creative blend of soul, rock, pop and hip-hop  influences. This singer-songwriter,  self-taught guitarist and pianist was born in Central NY, and started playing instruments  at the age of 15. He recently studied under the legendary Carlos Alomar (David Bowie’s guitarist, musical arranger, and collaborator for decades).

His performances generate an energy that moves the crowd"”physically and emotionally"”whether he’s playing a dynamic  acoustic set solo or with his  band.

TANKSLEY opened for Grammy Award-winning artist  Lalah Hathaway and he and his band  have  headlined at the New York State Fair, performed in NYC at Webster Hall, Toshi’s, the legendary Minton’s Playhouse in Harlem, The Groove.  Recent performances include the Ernest and Scott Taproom and the Mezzanine Gallery in Wilmington DE.
