Delaware Shakespeare Festival


The best place to watch theatre in the summer is outdoors. Delaware Shakespeare Festival presents Shakespeare on a custom-created stage located on the lush grounds of Rockwood Mansion Park. Our talented company breathes new life into these classic works, as the audience dines and enjoys a midsummer evening. The mission of the Delaware Shakespeare Festival is to create professional theatre and educational programs in order to further the understanding and appreciation of Shakespeare's works for the residents and friends of the State of Delaware.

From I-95 (N or S) * Take I-95 to Exit 9, Marsh Road, and follow the brown Rockwood signs * The Rockwood Park entrance is located just south of Shipley Road on the Washington Street Extension in Wilmington, Delaware. From I-495 * From I - 495 North or South take exit 4, Edgemoor Rd. * Follow Edgemoor Rd. west to Washington St. Extension * Make a left onto Washington St. Extension and the first right into Rockwood. PARKING IS FREE!
