Delaware All-State Theatre
The Delaware All-State Theatre (nonprofit status pending) was created to
give elementary, middle, and high school theatre "geeks" the unique opportunity work on a large-scale musical production in partnership with the world famous DuPont Theatre. Full-time students (up to age 19) from across Delaware and the immediate surrounding area are eligible to participate either as a performer or behind the scenes in a technical capacity.
There is NO FEE for kids and teens to be a part of our group
only benefits, including:
The distinct honor to perform on the world-famous DuPont Theatre stage.
The chance to work with industry professionals from the Director down to the Props Mistress.
The uniqueness of performing in a National Broadway Touring/EQUITY theatre house with UNION technical advisers.
The great opportunity to play other roles outside of the show such as working side-by-side the professional production team as a Production Intern. Our PI's are all students.
The ability to learn more about the craft of the theatrical arts from Broadway, NATIONAL TOUR, and professional stage and screen ACTORS. (Last year we hosted four mini theatre workshops for the students and paid to have these professionals flown in from LA, Orlando, and NYC).
To have a place for theatre students to come together on one stage to showcase their talents just like All-State Music/Band, and sport championships.
Each school year, plays and musicals are performed by some of the best student actors in the region. While most of these talented students deliver memorable performances, the thought of assembling the "best of the best" from each school came to mind.
