    Description

Through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), the Delaware Humanities has funds available for redistribution to Delaware organizations seeking support for humanities programming facing financial hardship due to COVID-19. Please see our ARPA specific guidelines and FAQ for details.

Delaware performing and visual arts organizations that do humanities programming/activities are eligible for a RENEW Grant.

Funding is specifically for humanities programming and activities, including the following:

Special consideration will be given to programs, activities, and ideas that are innovative responses and approaches to the ARPA grant purpose that will create stronger, relevant, sustainable, and future-oriented humanities organizations.

Organizations can request up to $20,000, but organizations may not not receive the full amount requested. No match is required.

The period of performance for funding for RENEW Grants is on or before December 1, 2021 until November 30, 2022. All activities and expenses must take place during this time period. There will be no extensions allowed for RENEW programs or activities.

Delaware Humanities is accepting and processing RENEW Grant applications now on a competitive basis.  The application closes on November 19, but organizations are encouraged to apply early.
