The Mary Bowman Arts in Activism Award supports accomplished young and emerging art activists ("artivists") who use arts as the vehicle for heath, social justice and/or HIV/AIDS community activism and expression to raise greater awareness about bigotry, stigma, and social inequities. Student and non-student artivists are welcome to apply. These $5,000 awards are intended to support young and emerging artivists each year who honor Mary Boman's legacy and share her passion for the arts as the vehicle for their own activism.
