Sarah Baptist Wilmington: An Artist’s View

Sarah Baptist loves painting urban landscapes. Sarah sees wonderful painting subjects all around her! The impact of vertical and horizontal structures…how they conflict and contrast with each other and yet morph into their own composed design fascinates Sarah, who is known for her paintings of poles and wires but enjoys painting all sorts of cityscapes and street scenes en plein air and in her home studio in North Wilmington.

As a theatrical scenic painter for 20+ years, Sarah helped create worlds physically on a stage. (Yes, even Delaware Theater Co!) Now as a full time artist, she creates worlds on a smaller, more personal scale.

Recently, Sarah focused on downtown Wilmington as her subject. This show features that work.
